It's too bad for the Rams that they have to go through this. They didn't do anything wrong, other than one player on their team going for a man's head to disrupt a TD. Still, even that player wasn't responsible for the flag not being thrown.
However, the fact still remains, they don't belong in the game. I take issue with anyone, whether on the team or a fan of the team saying they would not feel cheated in this situation. I am certain anyone having to endure this would feel very cheated and be bitter about it for years to come. It is unacceptable and I'm sorry if Rams players are tired of hearing about it but that's the way it is. The only good that can come out of this is if there are changes to the rules about being able to challenge penalties or none calls. The only way that happens is if people don't let it go. In the end, it will benefit every team to get this right. The Rams and the Saints are paying the price for an issue the NFL was aware of and should have been addressed years ago. If Whitworth wants to be mad at anyone, he can direct that to the league and the Competition Committee which should have corrected this long ago.
