They've got Belichick, a man who is clearly the best coach in American sports history.

ETA - Brady is a great QB. He's easily a top 10 QB, but when paired with the GOAT coach, he's had the undisputed GOAT career.

Right on the money, essentially the same applied to Joe Montana in his day because he was coached by arguably the best coach of his era, maybe all-time, and supported by a criminally underrated defense and did what he did to the highest degree, thats essentially why I don't penalize people for their supporting cast because we need to take things for what they are, Joe and Tom executed their respective offenses at the highest level, their defenses upheld their ends of the bargain and therefore championships occurred, that's the PRECISE reason football's the ultimate team game.

FWIW: I don't measure quarterbacks on titles I measure them on performance, titles are lagniappe to their case because of how complete team-oriented the sport of football truly is and no one plays 2 ways anymore, legendary QBs can be nullified by putrid defenses and that's why I think we shouldn't strictly measure them by titles

Agreed to a point.

I think you can look at performance to categorize a QB as good, bad, elite, HOFer, legendary, etc. But if I'm trying to differentiate between two guys who are close, it's really, really hard not to look at titles. The name of the game is to win championships.
