If you were the OC, what - specific - actions would you take to beat Alabama?
First, this isn't about Bama! The offense has been terrible all year!
Second, the passing tree is too deep and not creative. Damn near every pass is a playaction deep down sidelines or quick outs for 2-3 yards..sound familiar? Will not attack over the middle and never take advantage of LBs cheating up...sound familiar? Florida didn't even disguise there blitz, the answer was to try and roll out away and throw into coverage. Better OCs attack where you are vacating with quick passes in that hole. Did you notice how bama would hit the TE if the OLB came? This has been a major issue all year. Teams are not respecting the passing game, for good reason and LBs cheat up and play run, yet no RPOs or quick slants/TE behind LBs.
This offense is nothing more than Mile's offense ran out of shotgun! it worked two years ago when SE took over. Why? He called more shotgun formations and teams had to play honest, which lead to better offensive success. Now teams have a ton of tape and know its the same offense.
