Bama will need four losses before they miss the playoff.
An Ohio State Fan said this.

Bama's resume entering the playoffs since the playoffs began

2014: 1-loss SEC Champ
2015: 1-loss SEC Champ
2016: undefeated SEC Champ
2017: 1-loss division co-champ

Now let's talk about 2017. Bama got in as a 4 seed, because UGA won the SEC title. As you may recall, they were NOT putting Bama in over a 2-loss SEC Champ Auburn had they won the SEC Title. You know who DID get in, as a division co-champ, over a 2-loss conference champ who beat them? 2016 Ohio State. And as the 3 seed no less!

Of course the main difference is Bama won 2 playoff games and the title instead of getting demolished 31-0 in the first round.

OSU's 2016 resume is in no ways comparable to Bama's 2017 resume. OSU had 2 top 10 road wins and a top 5 home win with a loss to a top 10 team. Bama had no wins over top 10 (hell even top 20) teams and a loss to a top 10 team.
