Well, you don't get out much apparently. Probably young.

Here are some suggestions for the OP.

ACME Oyster House(Seafood/GrilledOysters)

Parain's (Cajun)

Gallitoire's (Creole and Seafood)

Mike Anderson's (Steaks & Seafood)

Superior Grill (Mexican)

There are numerous Restaurants of all types in Baton Rouge. Baton Rouge is an industrial hub and center for Petro Chem & Refining. It has a Metro population of 830,000 and is the Capitol of Louisiana. It isn't just a College Town like Athens. Enjoy your stay.

CORRECTION: BR is the CAPITAL of LA, and the CAPITOL building is located there.

Same as, DC is the CAPITAL of the US, and Congress assembles at the CAPITOL.

You, obviously, have been living under a rock.

No, no, no, no... Acme is the most overrated place to get oysters and a typical chain restaurant. Get over to Phil's (Perkins Rd. same strip center as The Bulldog), Jolie Pearl (Downtown), or Mike Anderson's.

No longer exists.

Parain's (Cajun)

Parrain's is good if you can get a table.
