Black & white beginning to make progress in everyday life interactions. Music was probably the best ever. Vietnam still going on for the first few years and when it finally ended the heroes who served our country were not properly welcomed home. Wages were pretty low but prices were, too. College wasn't a must-do like it is today, lots of plant jobs for the locals in the river parishes. Disco competed with rock in the mid-70's, both were awesome. Lots of clubs and music venues to go dance and meet girls. Payphones instead of cell phones. Had to keep lots of quarters around. 8-track tapes took up a lot of room in your backseat or trunk. Buying water in a bottle was unheard of. Only a handful of fast food restaurants around. Volunteer Army replaced the draft.
I could go on and on but I'm feeling a little sad that those great days are gone for good, except in our memories.
