Let's say Texas Tech and Alabama are 11-1 and neither were conference champions, and only one of them can get in.
LOL.
We already saw this. Oklahoma State in 2011.
And to top it off, OSU won their conference. It didn't matter. Thus the crux of many arguments here.
The fans of the teams that benefit the most from this bias refuse to acknowledge it, and I don't blame them for that. They are programmed by the media and the results they get when they get second chances to shut out the double standards.
This is why you cannot have a solid debate on this topic at all.
Like Reece Davis said "Give Nick Saban enough chances, and he WILL eventually beat you".
Fans are tired or seeing certain teams get chance after chance. Then, those teams make good on that chance (that no one else gets) and it becomes "see, we were the right ones all along". We will never know if the teams that were removed because of bias would have won. They didn't get the opportunity, and thus the debate rages on.
This is also why CFB is viewed the way it is.
