Is there a point where debt and spending are too high? The answer is absolutely yes to any rational person. The conversation has always been about our spending/borrowing being too high. Unless you can link to conservatives saying we shouldn’t spend or borrow anything.

Of course it can be over done. We’ve never remotely came close to doing so.

All you gotta do my friend is look at the actions of Regean conservatives.....you used the correct term....conversation....it’s always been an academic conversation with the right...when in a position to do so they always cut taxes and increase collective spending because it fricking works.....Keynes has always been right.....cutting spending might work, who knows....we’ve never tried it...and why should we? We have a formula for success and a very small minority are opposed to our using it. Donald Trump and the base of the GOP is now in lock step with the Democratic Party prior to Reagan and his silliness on economic issues.....cut taxes, increase spending, impose tariffs and protect US industries and workers from foreign competition that WE subsidize. All of this libertarian, conservative jumbo jumbo is relegated to the trash heap of history and We can thank Donald Trump and the base of the GOP. Going forward we are going to see more and more politicians running on increased spending and government meddling in the market on behalf of workers....and its all due to Trump and the base of the GOP!

To what end? Do you agree it’s possible that the interest on our debt can exceed our GDP?

Maybe you only think 5 to 10 years into the future because other wise your policy won’t work in the long run
