I think this is comparable to the idea of having something feeling better than the split second of getting it when you end up missing that having something to look forward to feeling

Especially if that something isn’t likely to be available somewhat regularly

Happens to me with a lot of shite. I love the feeling of something being within reach for the benefit it has on my motivation with my other priorities in the mean time
