Sounds like a strain. You could have injured your rotator cuff too. Sometimes it’s hard to tell, because the pain can radiate to nearby muscles. Ice that thing down if you can. Hopefully, it’s just a mild sprain.

Icing it right now. Trying to ice it every 3 to 5 hours for 20 minutes or so.
