“ our SEC record was better in 2017”

Have we as LSU fans really resorted to patting a coach on the back because he came in 3rd in the West and 4th in the SEC in a year that saw the SEC being the weekest it has been in 20 years?

Where have the shouts gone bout a 10 win season not being acceptable or any coach can win 10 games at LSU?

It’s really remarkable how the bar has been lowered for LSU football. 35 games, at the end of 2018, since a coach was fired a 10 win season is now to be seen as some sort of achievement.

Freaking amazing

Yep I remember the rant saying under miles that any idiot can win 10 games at LSU. Now 9 wins with loses to Troy and a 30 pt beating by state are good years

3rd in the SEC West? Behind the team that won the SEC West and the team that won the national championship.

4th in the SEC? Behind the team that won the national championship. The OTHER team that played in the national championship game. AND the SEC West champ who also beat the team that won the national championship.

I merely posted one fact—namely our SEC record was better in 2017 than it was in 2015. I said nothing of it being acceptable. And I certainly did not pay O on the back for it. If you want my opinion of 2017– it was a disappointment and missed opportunity. The standard should be and in my book is 10 wins. So don’t push a “lowering the bar” or “patting O on the back” for 2017 as my agenda. That dog won’t hunt.
