I'm assuming your ac guy is qualified to check pressures.

I would check the outside unit at night to see if the lines are sweating and ice free. Then check the inside unit for ice too.

He just did a 400 psi pressure check and a 250 psi vacuum check. All is well with both, appears there's no leak.

Now I'm even more confused.
