For most needs I prefer VA over other care options.
I have Tricare and Medicare and haven't paid out of pocket for anything for years other than a few prescriptions when I didn't get them from VA.
Depends what you want done and how convenient you want the service. VA in NO is pretty much outstanding with the New Hospital. If you search the internet you will see surveys that rate VA care higher than its competitors.
