Well, this is bullshite, but expected from a doctor because doctors know everything and doctors never screw anything up. And the VA and DoD have never screwed over anyone with regard to the agent orange thing. Nope, not once.
I mean the guy telling me about his exposure while doing special forces ops being the reason he has painful neuropathy when his record shows he was non-combat for the whole 4 years he served...it’s these 70 yr old vets with significant mental health issues that “know everything”
I’m a specialist and never had any problems with the vets. They were usually very happy that they were getting to see me and I could usually help alleviate their pain. They never gave me or my staff crap (like I said the medical staff I worked with were all very respectful) but I heard all the complaining and watched the way they treated other staff around the hospital.
I will say that the young guys that served in Iraq and afghanistan were always very respectful. Again, at least to me and my staff as well as when I would observe them interact with other folks around the hospital. It was the older guys that were turds
