drilled pile

in common construction discussions, we use the terms "drilled" and "driven" all the time. "Drilled" is used interchangeably with "auger-cast". "Driven" is used interchangeably with "timber pile" or "pre-cast pile"...everyone knows what you mean when you're talking with engineers and on the job site. And no one gets in a pissin contest over what we're gonna call the deep arse hole with rebar and concrete in it.
