quote:
"2 Chronicles 7:14 King James Version (KJV) 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
First, I agree with this.
Secondly, it is an Old Testament verse that was specifically talking about Israel. ( I do agree that it could have applications to other countries)
Lastly, the key phrase is, my people. If non Christian entities do ungodly things, this is expected. I'm more concerned with how Christians act and conduct themselves than I am about the world behaving worldly.

Jesus had zero clue what existed outside the small area in which he lived. He had no clue there were people who lived outside of his area in other parts of the world all who believed in a different religion and god than he did. Something as simple as a wheelbarrow would have been a technological marvel in the time of Jesus.
Things change. Jesus had no clue there was a North America. Or an Asia. Or South America. Or Australia. Etc.
