Ummm. The pentagon is made out of thick reinforced concrete with blast resistant windows.
The towers were much less secure on the exterior.
I mean just think logically for just a second.

From my understanding it was just sheathed in limestone. If it had been reinforced concrete, the building would not have looked like that after.
