TCU had only made the NCAAT twice (1956 and 1992) before Schlossnagle became their coach. Since he took over in 2004, they have made the NCAAT every year outside 2013 (so 14 times in 15 years) and have made the CWS 5 times, including the past 4 straight years. They had never made the CWS prior. He has built TCU into an elite baseball program. The OP is making the point that our fans want to discard everything else Mainieri has done and want him gone because of this year. Well, if you apply the same criteria to Schlossnagle, then he, also, should be fired. The overall point is it's flat out moronic to say it's inexcusable to ever have a down season. Mainieri has proven he can build a program as he did when he took over and that he can rebuild a team like he did after the 2010-2011 seasons.
