Sounds like a boon for after-school daycare programs.
I don't think "Hi boss, I need a 4 day work week for daycare purposes." will fly for many people.
Who is this supposed to benefit, other than teachers and admin, in theory? Will just end up costing parents more money, and for what?

My guess would be one less day each week for them to have to run buses and feed the students breakfast and lunch. Lot of overhead there.
