There would be a more professional way to go about it but I agree, "If I was asked if I was gay and if my mother is/was a whore" I'd thank them for their time but simply tell them that I am a professional and do not want to be associated with an organization that finds that line of questioning to appropriate or relevant. I also wouldn't comment on anything in the media. No one could accuse you of being a psycho in that situation. It only makes the team look bad.

Choose not to be associated? People keep trying to draw this false equivalency to the real world. The team can draft you if they want if you're there. You'd choose to not play for a team on that principle, destroying your career in the process?

That said, I think that'd be an appropriate answer and they wouldn't have a problem with it. Again, they just want to make sure the guy isn't going to fly off the handle when they're faced with a provocative question.
