I always wondered if I tried to get assistance from the state for my two boys if they would have turned out better. I was too poor to buy them anything but cheap junk food even though I have worked 40 hour weeks every week during their lives.

apparently OP has evidence that even if the state did help my two boys, the result would have been the same.

to know that Louisiana kids would turn out the same if the state didn't help any of them is sad news.

state just needs to do away with all programs because it doesn't help.
