Why would you shoot people at home? Also, its kind of a dumb comparison considering that military kids are trained daily.
At home, we dont even trust them with alcohol. Why should they get guns?

Incorrect. You can shoot one as an employee of the US government under the orders of your superior officer. Just like in Afghanistan.
