I think this kid here is an interesting prospect. will probably be there for our 3rd round pick.
Hercules Mata’afa/DE/Washington State/6'2"/245lbs
NFLDraftScout's Rob Rang writes that Washington State DL Hercules Mata'afa will need to impress with his run times at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Mata'afa was one of the most impressive pass-rushers in the FBS last year, but there have been concerns about what type of player he'll be at the next level. He's built like a defensive end (6'2/252), but his strongest skill set in college was his ability to rush as defensive tackle. "Mata’afa will impress in the bench press and measure in around 245 to 250 pounds, but questions about his fit at the next level will only escalate if he runs more like a defensive tackle than linebacker," Rang writes. How he tests will be one of the bigger story lines to watch for in Indianapolis at the end of the month. Feb 19 - 3:05 PM
