In 2011, he was named the Scout.com/FOXSports.com National Recruiter of the Year
In 2011, ESPNU/ESPN The Magazine named him the top recruiter in college football
In 2012, Sporting News selected him as the nation's No. 2 recruiter.
Rivals.com ranked him as the second-best recruiter of the previous 10 years (2002-11)

that has even worse game day coaching.

I don't remember seeing LSU run out of clock while inside the opponent's five yard line this past season. That is a huge improvement right there in game day coaching. LSU team scrambling to get final play in to win game, coach looking for a clean blade of grass to eat and clock runs to zero.

Do a quick google search for "les miles clock management":

A few Results you will see - the article titles and snippets seen from the search are listed:

"Les Miles Epic Fail - LSU vs. Ole Miss 11/21/09 (HQ) - YouTube"

Auburn game - "As same mistakes continue, Les Miles might be out of time at LSU - After this latest clock management blunder, Les Miles' clock might have finally run out, too. I know it was chaotic, but LSU wasted way too much time. Should've been sitting in formation, waiting to snap it…"

"Les Miles Blows Another Game with Poor Coaching and Clock - Penn State vs. LSU in the Florida Citrus Bowl, Joe Paterno vs. Les Miles, Class vs. Crazy. In that game, Les Miles shows why it's obvious he flunked Clock Management 101 in coach's school. Can at least one assistant coach please sit down and help Les Miles understand this area of coaching?"

"Coach Les Miles says LSU Tigers clock management gaffe addressed" - Then LSU runs out of time in his last loss at LSU.

This doesn't even include the Tennessee game where UT saved Les from another loss due to clock mismanagement. They had too many defenders on the field when the clock went to zero on LSU.

he has never proven he can recruit FOR HIS PROGRAM.

im not shocked that you dont know that there is a huge difference between recruiting for someone else's program and his own program.

Of course O has less clock mismanagement. for the vast majority of his head coaching career, his team was to far behind for the end of the game to matter.
clock mismanagement isnt an issue when your team is getting curb stomped.

How many of these accolades were earned while running his own program?

I'll give you an easier one, how many assistants during his tenure as HC have won such accolades?

He can sell other people's programs. His own, not so much.

You know Derek, this post removes any lingering doubt about you and your shrimp boat captain orchestrating the coup that sent Les packing and LSU downgrading the HC position, aided and abetted by a clueless and gutless AD and a tightwad pansy University President.
