I think reasonable people put more stock into a coach's entire body of work. Also, can you go somewhere and improve upon what's already there? That's the sign of a coach that can at least manage a program.
I know most that think Orgeron's good don't have an appreciation for body of work. How could you and still think he's any good, much less better than Jimbo or Herman? You have two years of interim wins to prop up his record and he's still under .500.

I don’t know how anyone can look at the resumes of Jimbo and Coach O and come to any conclusion other than the probability of Jimbo being more successful at LSU is far greater than is the probability of coach O being more successful.
That doesn’t mean that I hate Coach O or that I want him to fail. It’s simply an assessment of what has transpired in the past.
