Type of program

Is the sky actually falling?
We all understand that rankings are not an objective science that clearly defines the quality of players.
It is obvious the kids who chose LSU as a program are good Athletes. The questions are: how developed are they? how do they fit into the program? and how do they fit our needs?
The challenge is that while some programs are built to develop players, there is little confidence right now that CEO can properly develop talent and have them contend for championships. Maybe other coaches, but not O.
There are programs like AL or GA who are not only getting presumed better talent, but also have HCs who are known for developing talent. So with that, it just becomes more difficult to compete in our conference. Add Tamu, AU, etc...
In addition, the class seems to have missed on needed depth. Such as last year. Last year we needed better trenches, this year we needed DBs and a QB.... That was not addressed by this class.
Having said that the main frustration I think we are all having is that we do not have a lot of confidence on CEO's ability to coach, some people were excited at his ability to recruit, so it would have been OK to just let Athletes do their thing. With kids you have to develop, and poor coaching, we needed the perceived better athletes. And coach did not deliver on his strength...
Again, what type of program are we?
Geaux Tigers.

The type of program run by a career DL coach who was the worst coach in Ole Miss history.
