I got pulled for a WMA gator hunt lottery a few years ago. When I went to pickup the tags from LDWF, I had to sit through a rules/safety meeting and the first thing they told us was it was nothing like whats shown on Swamp People. Those guys intentionally agitate the gators to get them thrashing around for the cameras. In reality it was just pulling the line up slowly and shooting it when the head broke water.
