So, I wonder if this is connected in any way with O "only" making $3.5M/yr and the fact that O invites him to practices, etc.
In other words, is this just political cover for O? Sort of like saying, "it would just be obscene hiring any coach you want, you know like any coach who has a credible shot at a championship."
I saw someone post that Alabama's football program brought in north of $150M in revenue last year. So, paying Saban $7M/yr to generate about $150M is obscene?
How much revenue did LSU generate last year? Assuming it was about $90M, just for the sake of argument, how is Saban's salary "obscene" but O's is acceptable?
For a $7M investment, Alabama generated over $150M in revenue. Isn't that a good investment (assuming a corresponding healthy profit)?
So, does Edwards propose to pass a state law to cap Louisiana coaches salaries? Why should we agree to that?
