Recently the Avast VPN has been failing to connect on my tablet. I'm getting an authentication error 3.2.1001. Tried to look for solutions on their help board and found the explanation below.

1001 - VPN Authentication Error
Try clearing the app data from Android phone setting to force SecureLine to redownload the credentials.

Exactly what do they mean by clearing the app data? I assume this is something other than performing an uninstall.

Thanks in advance for your help.

clearing the app data will take the app back to its original form when you downloaded it on the tablet. It will get rid of all updates that have occurred on the app since install. It is like doing a reset in Windows.

Also you can try to connect with proxy server. Try for instance fineproxy. Each package contains several IP subnetworks depending on the package features. I use it now and no glitches .
