I had the surgery some years ago.
As far as the pain after surgery, not bad.
The recovery itself was absolute misery. With the swelling, it literally felt as if someone set concrete in my head from the top of my mouth up. I could not breathe through my nose AT ALL for about 1.5 weeks.
During the night, expect a good amount of drainage (blood and general mucus) to pour out.
Really miserable stuff.
I wouldn't do it again.
