But I think the previous poster who said I was overthinking it is right once they find out it's there's they're going to be so happy in that Joe is going to hit them I just got to figure something else on the Santa Claus front thing is I don't want this Santa Claus present to be lesser than a mom and dad present you know

But in the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter they'll be happy either way so we will figure it

I understand how you feel--Santa usually brings the best gifts to our house too, especially ones I have been telling them for months "There is NO way I'm getting you that!" But at 7 & 8, do they really have a concept on what is more expensive? Does the "big" gift always have to be something that costs the most, or can it be something else on their lists that maybe they really wanted? (if an Xbox One was on their lists, maybe that has changed since they think Dad is getting one.)

IMO, give them the Xbox from you, then get them some random small toys that they really want from Santa. Or let them open the Xbox from you and get them some Xbox games or other accessories from Santa and tell them "Wow, how did Santa know we were getting this for you?"
