yea i don't get the outrage over the president - trump, obama, whomever - personally making a call/writing a letter or not. two of my uncles were killed in combat and both grandpa's died of natural causes but served in wwii. all received a flag and form letter from the president. nobody complained or expected more.
this is a pretty meh outrage issue. i do think it was in extremely poor taste for trump to drag kelly into this. seems like it's widely known that he made a conscious effort to keep his grief over his son's death private
