Our performance is by far the bigger problem, but we absolutely need to choose more intimidating venues for our big qualifiers. We are way too accommodating of other teams' fans because US Soccer wants to make the maximum amount of money. The Costa Rican players specifically mentioned how confident they were knowing they'd be well-supported in Red Bull Arena. All of our CONCACAF opponents put a lot of effort into making road games there as hard as possible. It makes a difference.

It's a small detail, but no detail is too small. Tonight is the result of neglecting the little details for too long. We need to choose our venues better for the 2022 cycle.
