Exactly my point brah. LSU Athletics isn't going to make the move to be a "basketball school" and risk losing that revenue stream. We are profitable BECAUSE of football.

Basketball and Baseball are the only two other sports who make a profit. All the rest lose money.

I completely understand that, and it seems the overwhelming response here thinks I suggested that basketball revenue would REPLACE football revenue. That's not what I'm saying. It clearly won't.

BUT - if you look at this from a business standpoint...have we been very good since 2011? No, not at all. We lose to Bama every year. Have our revenue numbers stayed about the same? Yes.

So why go after a top tier coach, when we can be middle of the pack, bring in the same cash, and start putting efforts to make our basketball program one of the elite ones in an already weak conference? As opposed to trying to compete in a conference where Bama will win every year?
