All that’s being accomplished is pushing people in the middle away from their side and keeping their side so far up their own asses they continue to not know reality.

This. What people like Bennett and Michael Smith and Jemele Hill cannot or will not understand is that incidents like these push people away from supporting real criminal justice reform. Your average American who may in the future serve on a state or federal jury hears about a story like this and tends to not believe the civilian and believe the cop. They do more damage than good, but they live in their millionaire privileged bubbles while the people they claim are privileged just ignore them.
