In my case I wanted to go. I researched it, visited there and was very excited to go. Never had a moment of homesickness or feeling like I wasn't wanted at home. I was 13 at the time and very independent.

It was basically like college life. If you were 16 you could have a car and even smoke on campus. Everyone I knew loved it there. There were only a very few who hated it and left.
