I think the DL will be pretty good next year with Feihoko joining the active roster and Shelvin gaining full eligibility (assuming that is a foregone conclusion, which may be a mistake..), along with the bodies they are bringing in with Nelson, Cotton etc. I certainly think that will potentially become an area of strength.

DL is finally flushing out that bad 2012 haul of lineman. The guys we've recently gotten plush Fehoko will provide a much better defense. Honestly, if Lawrence was playing this game, Miss St wouldn't have done half the rushing they did.

My worry is on the OL. People didn't believe me when I said we'd struggle bad with a bunch of mediocre returning starters, and actual first time starters. Clapp is the only guy that I expected to be ready early. If this year is anything like 2014, we will be A LOT better in the second half of the season running the ball behind the OL, and defending period.

I agree.

Poor recruiting on both lines for several years now especially the offensive line.

Too many projects.
Too many guards.

If you are going to over recruit any offensive line position it needs to be Tackle not Guard.

A high school tackle can gain weight and move to guard but the move from guard to tackle is much harder.

We still have too many guards on this team.

Recruit nothing but Tackles and a Center for the next couple of years and try to improve the overall line play.
