re: Why do people think that passing the football is the key?

We can run the football and beat most teams but we can't run the ball an entire game and beat the most important team on our schedule which is Alabama. Usually when Bama loses it's because they can't stop the passing game except on rare occasions like against Ohio St. We HAVE to throw the ball in order to beat Alabama. Have to keep them honest so that they can stop stacking the box against us. We don't have to spend the entire game passing the ball but we have to be balanced which we never really have been in the past. Running the ball will win 10 games a year but if we can develop a balanced passing attack we could win 11-12 games during the regular season and make it to the college football playoffs.
