It doesn't make you a pussy to consider not ripping your kid out of high school in their last year. Starting over senior year just to start over the next year can be hard on a 17 or 18 year old.

Imagine having formed relationships with friends for your entire life, looking forward to your last year in HS together (Homecoming, Prom, Spring Break, Graduation) and that gets blown up midway through. She will resent the Hell out of it.
