OJ Howard Compares NFL to Playing an Alabama vs LSU Matchup Everyday

There is nothing more to say. Saban most certainly emphasizes the times Bama plays LSU. And the players clearly focus on it, which makes sense since so many are recruited from Louisiana to Bama and from Alabama to LSU. There is an intense rivalry. Bama and LSU deliver each other the best each one has to offer and it has been that way since before 2011.

Saban emphasizes LSU because it's his former program and he knows what he started there and what they're capable of. He knows LSU can beat him any time they line up, contrary to what people say on here LSU does have the horses to beat them every time, but it has been coaching and dumb mistakes (penalties) that has cost them the games in Tiger stadium. They should be unbeaten at home against them, but the play calling as usual wasn't up to par. Now with Canada there, hopefully things will change in that dept.

but I don't think LSU gets a lot of Bama athletes from Alabama like they do from Louisiana.

This.

Beat me to both points. Like the post earlier, look where Saban schedules his bye week. All you need to know. Listen to former Alabama players when they're candid. They clearly say that LSU is the game on the schedule they circle every year.

You know that's the reality inside their locker room. Outside, Saban will never acknowledge it because they don't want to give LSU any more of a recruiting edge than they already have, and they've been thanking their stars every night that LSU has not been able to put together a season where they had a functional offense and a functional defense at the same time.

I would in know way imply that they're scared, but I'm sure our performance last weekend has them more on edge than any of their remaining schedule.
