Upvote because this is a legit question. I'm a flood adjuster and based on the last 3 flood events in the Houston area, from NRG south down the 610 were the most impacted areas. The stadium itself will be fine, but the surrounding area could easily be 1-2' underwater. I stayed 2 blocks from NRG on the last 2 flood events, the most damage was within 15 minutes of my hotel.

Likewise and this is correct. All you have to do is go back a little over a year to realize this is a very real possibility. They are estimating upwards of 20 inches of rain and a tropical system stalling over the area. And Houston is extremely flood-prone. If you'd like to go back for reference. See tropical storm Allison 2001.
