The biggest problem we've always had in Afghanistan (and Iraq), at least at my level, is that they are nearly all lazy people. They have no desire to fight for themselves, particularly because they know we've been doing it for them for nearly 16 years. There are some really good people there, and some bad arse dudes that can keep up with the best of us, but they are few and it's not enough. If we want to "win" there, it's on us.

How do we do that? I don't know. The only right answer might be to leave and let them sort their shite out on their own. I hope Mattis can figure something out. He's a smart dude and a warrior. If anyone can do it, he can.

I feel like if we get the cavemen to change their aggression towards anyone else then we can pull out at any moment. If we could trust that they wouldn't do anything terrrorist wise then I think we would have no excuse not to pull out, just need to change their aggression imo.

As for the government, they're all kleptocrats.
