Before the baking soda, wash every surface of the interior, including the roof, dashboard, steering wheel and carpet, with a towel soaked with water and dishwasher soap. Let the soapy water sit for a few minutes then, before it dries, wash it off with a towel and clean water. Repeat that a couple times.
