Nathan Daniel Henry, 24, of West Monroe, was charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance and traffic law apply to persons riding bicycles. Around 4 p.m. Wednesday, state troopers stopped a man riding a bicycle south on Evergreen Street in West Monroe. He was in the opposing lane of travel. The trooper noted that the rider seemed overly nervous and visibly shaking. The trooper got verbal consent to search the man's pants. Troopers found approximately 1.8 grams of methamphetamine in the left pants pocket.
After being advised of his Miranda rights, the suspect said "these aren't my shorts."
Another big dummy. If you've got meth in your pockets, don't give permission for search!
