I'll try to avoid the dramatic details as much as possible but I don't even use rat poison. Last April my dad ended up passing away fairly suddenly and since I have moved into his house while I attempt to get all his stuff organized and cleaned out (he had a big house and an unimaginable amount of stuff that was very unorganized).

Anyways even after over a year there was one part of the house left that was not totally cleaned up yet and unbeknownst to me there was some D-con rat poison still in the Walmart bag or whatever he bought it in in a pile of stuff that I didn't know about

Where it was I'm still not sure how the dog even got to it but regardless I didn't have a clue it was there and that's how it all happened
