Well I can tell you thing, Stacy Head is going to have a fricking field day with these clowns tomorrow.
They found a dead body in a catch basin this morning. LINK
They were able to find $2mm to remove the monuments in a matter of days
I cant wait until tomorrow's meeting

New Orleans City Councilwoman Stacy Head on Wednesday (July 25) will demand to know why Mayor Mitch Landrieu hasn't moved forward with plans to repair most of the city's catch basins. Head said she has been provided with no evidence that the catch basins have been repaired, even though Landrieu's administration set aside $3 million in the 2017 budget to repair them.
The council's Public Works Committee meeting will come four days after portions of the New Orleans area saw more than 4 inches of rain, causing flooded streets throughout Mid-City and Lakeview. Head doesn't know if broken catch basins played a role in that flooding, but residents who are not accustomed to high water those areas suspect that was the case, she said.
"I'm not an engineer, but I just know all over the city there are catch basins that are broken and clogged," Head said. "This is one of the basics that government is supposed do. Government is supposed to give you catch basins for your car not to fall in or a dead body to be hidden in."

Head said she has pushed for catch basin repairs for years and wanted funding for fixing them to be a top priority during budget hearings last year. But since the $3 million was set aside, she has seen little movement to get the repairs started.
"When I asked about it, I was told the source of funds is complicated and the money is not yet freed up," Head said. "Well, it's (almost) August. It's not OK. If we need to use general fund money, then we should use that."
