I have joined a keeper league in its 5th year, taken over for a player who no longer wanted to keep going. I can keep two players and i lose the draft pick of when they were taken.
Antonio Brown-1st....def keeping him
Mark Ingram- 2nd....pass
Mike Evans- 3rd.... yes???
Giovani Bernard- 4th---nay
Demaryus Thomas- 5th--- ????
Ryan Matthews- 6th---???
Langford---pass
barnidge----pass
Desean Jackson-9th--????
rivers---pass
charles sims----pass
willie snead---- pass
pass on rest as well...
right now im leaning toward mike evans, but i feel d thomas is pretty good value in round 5. losing a draft pick in rounds 1 and 3 kindly sucks, but with those two receivers im not sure i can pass.
never done a keeper so all help is appreciated.

ABrown and Evans. Two first round players.

I would think about keeping Snead in the 12th, but it would be hard to pass up a Brown/Evans combo.

Evans is the easy choice, here.
You might want to think about keeping Snead (which round), and taking a RB if you know what is available.
You could potentially have an Evans/Snead combo for your WR1 and WR2, with a top RB in the first round.

This is pretty easy of a choice as far as I'm concerned. You keep Evans and you keep Snead. Without hesitation.

Willie Snead over Antonio Brown? Really? WTF

No, do not keep Snead. Keep Antonio Brown and Evans. Great start to a team.

Always base it off value; In that case if you have the 5th pick or later it makes sense to keep Brown as he likely doesn't fall that far but if you have a top 4 pick then I wouldn't bother because you could possibly land one of Elliot/Bell/DJ and if not then AB will fall to you.
If you still keep Brown with that criteria then I would also keep Evans in the 3rd. If not then I'd go with Evans in the 3rd and Snead with your last.
***Although this would depend on who the other teams are keeping. In my keeper league you can't keep anyone in the top 10 at their position***

Opportunity cost is dead, evidently.

Keep Brown and Evans. You get two guaranteed 1st round picks and only pay a 1st and 2nd. Don't get cute. Snead for a 12th is great value but Brown is someone you don't pass up.

Who's to say he can't draft Antonio Brown after keeping Evans and Snead?
OP, who will be available to draft in the 1st round?
What's better?
1. Evans (2nd), Snead (12th), possibly a top half WR like Green, OBJ, David Johnson, Bell, etc.?
2. Antonio Brown (1st), Evans (2nd)
It really depends on where OP is drafting

Thats what I was thinking... im 5th overall pick, 12 man league. cant pass up brown and evans in the 3rd is great value.

i am 5th overall...thats a good point.. didnt think about other people in front of me, but i am not sure i can see who they are keeping before the draft.
eta: i would think that obj, green etc would be keepers as well tho.

If you can get a projected list of available guys, I would.
Do you all throw your guys into a hat and the commish announces? Or are you publicly announcing whenever?
If it's whenever, be the last one and see who is available at the 5th pick
