I wasn't a fan of giving him all that money but I also didn't want to lose him and this is why
He's one of the best
Combine this with Rondo or Patrick Beverly and we probably would lead the league in steals

For his career Jrue has averaged 1.5 steals per game, 6.2 assists and 2.7 turnovers.
FWIW, he's averaged 14.3 ppg, shooting .441 overall and .366 on 3pt shots.
All-in-all, those are pretty pedestrian numbers for a starting point guard.
My biggest issue is that his turnovers come in bunches.
The averages aren't bad, but one thing I've noticed with Jrue is that there seems to be a pattern with turnovers. He'll have a 3-game stretch during which he'll commit 3 turnovers total, then he'll have game with 8 or 9.
It's awfully tough to win when one player turns the ball over nine times.
Here's hoping that with improved chemistry those outlier games will decrease in number and in impact.
The prospect of moving him off-ball is intriguing, the questions are can we bring in a better distributor and is Jrue a good enough shooter to handle that role.
