We hit Singer 8 times, got 2 walks and he struck out 12. His strikeouts kept the game from being ugly (in our favor). Our somewhat sloppy play and (FULL DISCLOSURE - I was NOT one of those morons calling for PM's head during the season) inexplicable decision to essentially let Reynolds lose the game in the 4th - once he walked the first guy - that was the time to make the move - allowed Florida to essentially steal one from the hottest team in college baseball.
Not saying Bush would have done any better, BUT now we'll never know. The creative fielding during the sequence was a symptom of all those walks.
The ground rule double - not saying that was all on Zach - the shadows were legitimate and he did make a couple of plays that would have been hits so it all balances out.
The long and short of it - Springer pitched a game for the record books and (almost) everything still had to go Florida's way for them to win by 1 run.

This play was a slow read by Watson. If he break to the wall off the bat he catches that ball easy. He almost caught and probably could have caught it but he was further away from the wall than he thought. I'm not mad at him those types of things happen. He has been great and will get better. He was a shortstop in high school and now playing center in college that same play happens again id bet he catches that ball 8 out of 10 times.
