I didn't read the article to know if the mother owned the pit or not. Either way, if you own one and it attacks you should be charged with several crimes up to and including murder as one poster said.

If she did not own the pit, I would sue the owner till they had nothing left. Most home owners insurances won't cover you if you have a pit so their insurance will prob drop them. I'd sue them, and sue them, and sue them again. Then when they are living in a cardboard box I'd sue them for that and when I won it I'd set it on fire and piss on it while they watched.
